Status and Duty

BP2IP Surabaya as the one of state merchant marine school administratively is controlled by the Education and Training Agency (Badan Diklat Perhubungan), and operationally controlled by the Maritime Education and Training Centre (Pusdiklat Hubla).

The main duty and function of BP2IP Surabaya is conducting education and training in the merchant marine field for middle level (Diklat Teknologi Pelayaran Nusantara).
